Myanmar’s Ministry of Rail Transportation and road transport department have selected one foreign company and two local companies to operate transport services as a joint venture, according to the announcement of road transport department released on July 15.
The chosen companies are South Korea-based Busan Express Bus Terminal Company Limited and two local companies; Forever Green Right Services Company (FGRS) and Moe Thaut Hnin Company.
The three companies will carry out construction of terminal buses, vehicles maintenance and passengers’ transportation.
The road transport department offered tender to local and foreign companies who want to co-operate the services as a joint venture with the department on April 23rd and 25th of this year and carried out the work procedures starting from June 18.
The submitted companies are Japanese based company Ryobi, South Korea based Busan, CJ GLS and local companies; FGRS, San Yaung Ni, Moe Thaut Hnin, Myint Family and YCTT Solution.
Among them, the department has already chosen a foreign company and two local companies.
The securitizing is a first phase and the remaining companies will be securitized based on their transport services.
